Azerbaijan Business Development Fund (ABDF), operating under the Ministry of Economy, and the Italian Export Credit Agency (SACE) have signed a cooperation agreement. The agreement aims to facilitate financial solutions that will improve Azerbaijani companies’ access to Italian-made equipment, technologies, services, and know-how.
The agreement was signed in Italy by Ulvi Mansurov, Chairman of the Management Board of ABDF, and Mikele Pinotti, Chief Executive Officer of SACE.
Under the agreement, the parties will support the implementation of new investment projects by engaging Italian exporters, suppliers, contractors, technology partners, and financial institutions.
As part of the partnership, ABDF and SACE plan to expand cooperation in export financing, guarantee mechanisms, insurance, and other financial instruments. One of the key priorities is to create broader and more accessible opportunities for the use of SACE’s existing financial solutions.
The parties also intend to organise initiatives aimed at establishing new connections between Azerbaijani and Italian companies, banks, and local institutions, identifying potential business partners, and promoting joint initiatives.
The cooperation will expand Azerbaijani entrepreneurs’ access to international technologies and expertise, contributing to sustainable economic growth and the further development of the country’s non-oil sector.
